PAY COUPONS
The P.O.W.'s were paid 10cents an hour for working in the potato fields and cutting down trees for the lumber industry. Being paid once a month allowed the purchase of various sundry items, clothing, cigarettes and beer.
Booklets were issued containing coupons consisting of different denominations.
